About FinCalc
FinCalc is a free, privacy-first toolbox of financial calculators. It brings together the calculations people run over and over when planning a mortgage, paying off a loan faster, projecting retirement savings, or checking their take-home pay — into one fast, no-nonsense site with no signup and no clutter.
Privacy First, by Design
Every calculator on FinCalc runs entirely in your browser. When you enter a home price, loan balance, salary, or savings figure, that number is processed locally on your own device using client-side JavaScript. Nothing you enter is uploaded to or stored on a server. In fact, once a calculator's page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and it will keep working. This means you can use the tools with real, sensitive financial numbers without them leaving your machine.
How It Works
The site is a collection of static pages. Each calculator is a self-contained page that shares a single JavaScript math engine for amortization schedules and compound-growth projections, so the same well-tested formulas power every tool — there's no duplicated, drifting math between pages. There are no heavy frameworks and no third-party trackers embedded in the calculators themselves. We use Google Analytics for anonymous, aggregated usage statistics and Google AdSense to display ads that keep the site free; both are described in our Privacy Policy.
The Calculators
FinCalc currently includes:
- Mortgage Calculator — monthly payment breakdown (principal, interest, taxes, insurance, PMI, HOA), total interest, and payoff date.
- Loan Payoff Calculator — auto, personal, or student loans, with a side-by-side standard vs. extra-payment comparison.
- Retirement Calculator — project savings growth with contributions, an assumed return rate, and employer match.
- Paycheck Calculator — estimate take-home pay after 2026 federal tax, FICA, and an optional state tax rate.
- Amortization Schedule — a full payment-by-payment table for any loan, downloadable as CSV.
